We know it takes a village to come up with helpful solutions to big problems. Here you can find information and tips on navigating real life issues you might be facing as a community member of VVES.
My child has endured over a dozen accounts of severe physical assaults during this 24/25 school year. Extreme attacks that include being choked, pushed into a metal pole hitting their head and being kicked in the private area. This count does not include instances smaller or other forms of bullying my young child has had to go through. The admin at the school have been made well aware and problems still continue. Why do students feel they can get away with this behavior? I hold the school responsible for not having better plans in place to prevent this behavior, or swifter harsher reactions when more dangerous incidents occur.

There have been so many times through my time as a parent at valley view that my child has been hurt or injured and we received no notification from the school. When my wife and I tried to call and get information we were told admin was in meetings and they would call us back only to never be called. This is unacceptable.

The traffic around Valley View has always been terrible! I have personally seen 2 hit and runs, one including a daycare van. There is also not enough support for crossing kids at the corners just a block from the school where many kids adults and even babies are walking. There is plenty of staff available to rotate positions if the priority for the school was safety. You can do better Valley View!
