In the heart of our community Valley View Elementary is a beacon of education and empowerment for our youth, or at least that's what it once was. Here we want that back, so recently, the making WHAVVES network,  provides a platform for students, parents and community members to share their experiences, voice their grievances, and seek support in a safe and welcoming environment.  Whether it's special needs, bullying, mental health struggles, or any other challenges that our children  may face, this network is here to provide a listening ear, a helping hand, and a shoulder to lean on, all while seeking resolutions without fear of judgment or retribution. Its time we hold the administration accountable for failing to keep the standards high at Valley View elementary. By creating this space, WHAVVES is not only supporting the emotional well-being of its students, parents and community members, but it is also promoting a culture of openness, empathy, and understanding, where the local school administration have been lacking. As we look towards the future, it is initiatives like WHAVVES  that remind us of the power we have to demand better for our children and community, the importance of connection, and the strength that comes from sharing our stories. Let us continue to support and uplift one another, knowing that together, we can create a safer, and more responsible school at Valley View. The school that this community deserves.  

Valley View Elementary School has always been a pillar in our community in Riverside but long before its existence there were people working together to create more for our city and our young children. WHAVVES is not just here as a support group; it is a community resource that offers a lifeline to those in need . By fostering a sense of community and belonging, the hope is that individuals will feel empowered to share their stories, seek help when needed, and support one another in times of crisis. The WHAVVES Community Resource Hub also aims to provide practical support to community members in need. Whether it's access to food assistance programs, mental health resources, or referrals to other community services, the hub is designed to be a one-stop for those in need of help. The power of community is undeniable, and when utilized can create positive change while supporting one another through life's challenges. If you are a member of the community and are looking for a space to voice your concerns, seek support, or connect with others who understand what you're going through, consider reaching out to our team of volunteers and we can stand up, speak out, and support one another on our journey towards bettering our school and community as a whole. 

Making WHAVVES started as a support group for anyone who feels that their concerns have gone unaddressed, and as a result, your child or yourself have suffered. From repeated bullying of your child, un-returned  phone calls or even parking complaints, At making WHAVVES our ultimate goal to is to get the best school and community experience for everyone.  Riverside La Sierra is a beautiful city of long standing residents who want only the best, and if we aren't getting the best we need to step up and demand that our hard earned tax dollar and more importantly, Riverside's youth , get the most from our public school system.  The WHAVVES Support Group was established with the goal of promoting community resources, fostering connections, and creating a space where individuals can come together to address issues that are often overlooked or brushed aside. Through community connection and regular meetings, members of the group hope to bring awareness to important issues, spark meaningful conversations, and ultimately drive positive change.   One of the key objectives of the support group is to empower individuals to speak up and advocate for themselves but more importantly be the advocate for their child(ren). Efforts have not gone unnoticed, with an increasing number of community members coming forward to join this movement.  By amplifying voices this group is making a real and lasting impact on the lives of those it serves.
